One of the metrics that tracks this is the number of coins in the possession of short-term holders and the metric is at its peak since January 2025, which indicates active purchases of coins by new addresses in the network, which are probably coming to the market for the first time.

Of course, the metric is not entirely fair, since any of you can create a new wallet and transfer/buy crypto to it, but when we are talking about hundreds of thousands of addresses, we can omit this factor, at least half of these addresses are new users.

There is a catastrophic lack of new blood on the market, since the basis of market growth is the mass purchase of BTC by companies and large investors, which is not quite typical for a bull cycle.

Exciting to see new participants entering the market, as reflected in the increased number of coins held by short-term holders. This influx of new addresses suggests growing interest in crypto. While the metric may not be perfect, it still indicates a potential wave of fresh investors. Diversification beyond institutional buyers is key for sustained market growth.
