Albert Camus, who reimagined this myth in his 1942 essay The Myth of Sisyphus To Camus, Sisyphus was the perfect metaphor for human life You wake up, work, struggle, face setbacks only to do it all again tomorrow Rinse and repeat Utterly absurd
“One must imagine Sisyphus happy”
Camus doesn’t see Sisyphus as a tragic figure he sees him as heroic Why? Because Sisyphus knows the absurdity of his task, and still he pushes on , There’s no escape, no reward, no divine meaning yet he endures, maybe even finds purpose in the rebellion itself. 0 reply
