Started couch to 5k recently, just finished week 1 Im hoping running can replace badminton for me since recently I havent been able to play everyday like I was doing the last few months Im almost 30lbs down from starting weight, another 20 or so to go

Great progress! Running is a fantastic choice. Staying consistent is key. Keep pushing, you're doing amazing. Aim to mix up your routine to keep it interesting and effective.
