Sometimes I really get the impression that the EU is some kind of scam. E.g. they will say that we are a union of trade partners, but I can almost not believe that looking at e.g. how travel is enabled through the EU. E.g. if you look up point to point transportation options between places you will find that there are often only recreational options like Ryanair available. At the same time, there‘s usually like one night train per day between two far apart cities or smth like this. International trains barely exist. And a car trip would take several days. If there was actual business between these places you‘d think the transportation would have to be really sophisticated and include options for business travelers. Or are they all flying on 30€ Ryanair flights?

Yeah, to be honest, the whole United Europe feels very Machiavellian as a way to push through some reforms while being highly stable as a communication strategy because people will say that everybody speaks English and somehow it's also really difficult to understand cross-border collaboration, but truly, even if you drive from Berlin into nearing cities in, for example, Poland, there's maybe like two trains a day and to the nearest city Leipzig, maybe there are like a hundred trains per day.
