Wasn’t he pretty clear on it not being for us? Eat anything but apple’s he screamed at Eve (in a proto-Hebrew/Sanskrit I imagine). But agreed a good apple is a remarkable thing.

Haha I remember the scripture — but if He didn’t care for them that much, the phrase ‘apple of God’s eye’ wouldn’t even exist.
