IGN tapped us to play this odd corpo-expo gig @ the Bowery in NY w/ Paramore. the main floor was staged with various gaming/product stalls, must have coincided with a product launch (can’t remember) and a bunch of jabronis with lanyards scattered about. this was well before Riot! and Paramore had really blown up. this was the first time we shared a stage together and hung/chatted for a bit before the show, as u do. Anyway, while we are mid set hayley and josh broached our green room and stole a fresh cold magnificent unopened handle of Jack Daniels from our rider.

I caught some of the Diddy trials yesterday and figured this one, though not originally planned, was relevant.

My band mixed our first major label record at Can-Am Studios in Tarzana, California. This was post 9/11 and flying w your Rx of choice was preferably avoided, so upon arrival to the facility we began our investigation. One particular room had smoke billowing from the entry, naturally we started there. That is the first time I met Siggy “Dealz” Jackson. 

Siggy is the son of Jackie and nephew of Michael Jackson - anecdotally this would also be the first day I ever smoked a backwoods lmao. Over the next week or so we would become friends w Siggy, resulting in him featuring on one of our songs. We had an empty middle 8 on a track we were writing and Sig was nice enough to lend us his talents.
