I find it very disturbing that the human who makes the most popular science videos on here doesn't see an issue supporting Coinbase. 

Very sad times we are in. 

You do all realize they are direct funders of Trump who basically denies science and wants to cut a ton of funding for NASA. 

Do you people just not care? Or are you afraid to bite the hand that feeds you?

Coinbase has been a huge advocate for the crypto industry and defended it at great cost against the previous administration. I didn't vote for Trump, I'm aghast by his actions, and I don't hold coinbase at fault for adapting to the current political environment to survive while continuing to push their pro crypto agenda.

Ignoring Coinbases politics, why would you support them when they are basically the opposite of what crypto is about? If it's about decentralization, p2p, self custody, etc. It's just Charles Schwab with fake ass principles.

I'm not a trump supporter and I think coinbase's position and decisions are more complicated than a binary decision. I don't have the energy to spend going deeper. I appreciate your perspective and understand your frustration and concerns.

I don't think they needed to bend the knee and neither do we. Great if you think Coinbase was doing what they had to do to survive, doesn't mean you need to support them. Companies just trying to survive is not a good excuse IMO. I bet a bunch of Nazis said the same thing.
