Incredibly sad, I am of the belief that young children should be able to be able to be outside on their own. I think it’s important to help gain a sense of independence. Simultaneously I believe America’s car centric city design patterns put humans in danger, especially small ones. I don’t think the parents should be charged and I believe events like this should inform city planners to do better to design places for humans not cars.
