As creatives, we never look back at our work enough and feel proud. We instantly move the goalposts to a new level we think we need to reach, or judge our work by the exposure it gets on platforms. In music, when I was making pop, this was especially bad — as soon as you do well, the benchmarks are raised and you find yourself stressed and under pressure again. the truth is I’ve learned it’s a continuous process I always need to work on: making time, taking a breath, and allowing myself to be proud of what I’ve achieved. Substack has become a big part of that process, because by documenting my work and writing posts like this, it forces me to stop and unpack not just the outcomes, but the process itself. It gives more value to the process Here’s is my fav moments of my year : https://substack.com/@sofractures/note/c-193500843?r=3kktm&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action
