$NATIVE needs to have a killer token sink. The fees paid in native to mint dots and passport might not enough imo. Virtuals killer sink was its pairing with all agent coins on top. That ran it to 5B. What if dots needed to hold thresholds of native to be able to perform (more) actions (faster) then lower tiers?

I could be wrong but I believe when @derek announced tokens would be paired with $weth rather than $NATIVE, he planned to at some point revert back to completely native paired tokens

yes at some point, perhaps, but i am not expecting it in 2025 at all. he said market not ready for this.
