True. Before VCs ruined it all. Airdrop meta was created by the vcs/Kols to max extract from its user base. Ponzi ponzi ponzi. Sad reality is every time in history that there is advancement in any shape or form from scientific discoveries to fintech the rich find a way to allude the poor/uniformed to think they have an edge. 
Not to say airdrop isn’t a good way to market and attract a user base but it is fundamentally broken. The same formula has been beaten to death over the years and it shows.
