Seeing everyone come at you here is peak Farcaster and exactly why this app will struggle to win in aggregate

Dealt with something very similar with @cryptobaddie idk why she chose to lie about living in NYC and then Seoul (which she misspelled) and attempted several fundraising and token grifts along the way

However, just because you show your face on video afterwards doesn’t make you brave and virtuous. You’re a grifter who’s trying to extract from this ecosystem, why everyone rushes to these people’s defense is beyond me

They’re socially engineering the whole thing through encrypted messenger, all their traffic is inorganic, they don’t scroll the timeline and use the app normally. People with alts. 

Farcaster, as far as analyzing data, is aware of the trend. It’s why they still don’t break through spam filters or the algorithm a lot of the time.

I know we’re showing new people more with a recent algorithm update, it may just be temporary or again, it’s like being on your guard because you’re wondering why their digital footprint isn’t lining up.

Like you said with cryptobaddie i also saw that a mile away and everybody did. This girl came claiming to be somebody OF  COURSE I’m curious and clicked on her twitter to see Rachael Coker like WHAT

All of the grifters in their circle rushing to their defense screaming racism and everything else in the book. Honestly people around here need to toughen up. If everyone just accepts grifters as one of us then we won’t have an app worth using 

I wasn’t familiar to the encrypted messenger aspect or any of that. Honestly it’s annoying and should be an auto lifetime ban, not an understanding conversation and a new follower

All to say, the fact that they immediately pivoted to new X accounts and in coordination deflect and place blame elsewhere tagging devs on a Saturday

That’s the biggest irony to me. In the example I used earlier with cryptobaddie, she’s trying to pretend  to be a New Yorker. We have a shitload of New Yorkers and the user base seems to be majority American. A) you really think you can trick everyone to believe you’re a local in their hometown which you’ve never been? B) New Yorkers, Americans, etc don’t get any special treatment here, if anything most seem more interested in people grinding from a country/culture which they’re unfamiliar

I understand it but at a certain point just be authentic and you can extract your USDC accordingly

20 USDC goes a month in multiple countries well represented in crypto and on Farcaster. 

They are aware they can “live” off Farcaster. I don’t care, I tip usdc for my ‘like’ for good content wherever you are in the world

If you make good content and replyguy, it’s an easy feat. Others want shortcuts— they dont want to spend time doing the replyguy thing or don’t want to have to make content, it’s easier to grift on low effort.

She didn’t have the effort to make a twitter to verify??? But as it’s already been stated, she got favorable treatment in the Farcaster algorithm for connecting a Twitter with over 50 followers so
