It's because intelligent and educated people tend to lean left. It's the actions of people on the right and their involvement in crypto that pushes normal people towards being against it

1. Educated and intelligent are two separate things. It also doesn’t scream intelligent when you continue to hand money to and vote for the people who want to destroy your business and throw you in jail 2. SBF (biggest crypto conman) is a dem most non crypto people who have a negative view of crypto have it thanks to him

well said - people should not conflate education with intelligence we all know plenty of people who are omega book smart but struggle to work with other people or be a member of society lmao

Oops sorry forgot to actually send this cast out lmao 1. I agree, the intelligence side of things is more contentious but it does seem to be the case that it applies to both which is why I mentioned both. I could be wrong, but generally Intelligent people prefer to deal with people who aren't unpredictable and can be reasoned with, both things that the MAGA cult are horrendous at. 2. This is a huge assumption. Opportunists like SBF will join any political side that they think will benefit them, but him choosing to donate publicly to dems even when they were generally anti crypto also points to the fact that he thought they could be reasoned with :) Personally I'd argue that the president of the united states using crypto to let people buy political favours is probably more off putting to the average person than the FTX scandal
