Call me a sucker or whatever you want... but I got bored and was scrolling CT, jumped into a Spaces where Lanten was hyping a new token. I thought hey, hes got nearly 400k followers and is followed by some big crypto names, so I tossed in a little SOL. Literally seconds after dropping the contract, he rugged and the chart nuked, tweets deleted, Spaces gone. I’m not even mad about the SOL. What bothers me is how easily this stuff happens, day after day, with zero accountability. It’s open scamming, and the space just lets it slide. If we ever want mass adoption or for anyone to take anything beyond BTC seriously we have to fix this. I would like to think that this has to be on /base’s radar? How can we possibly onboard billions if we can’t manage the people already here? Cc @barmstrong @jesse.base.eth @base

When you build something with meaning... it's easy to accept the hard route. No support... okay? People doubting... okay? I've always been fine taking the right side of any given situation. Building in this space is no different. A better space with less extraction is on the horizon... whether your favorite KOLS like it or not.

I agree, stable coins will be a MASSIVE piece to onboarding the world. Happy to see that regulation is catching up! But what about everyone caring about transparency, protections, and bare minimum standards that make the space better? Why is that such an unpopular standpoint?
