Many of us including non-techs are running @aztecnetwork sequencers, but I see many don't know about the mechanism. Let's learn a little as we go further in the testnet, you might want to know more. β€’ What is Aztec? Aztec is a privacy-focused L2 built on top of Ethereum. It lets people and apps make private and public transactions β€’ Sequencer: It collects transactions from users, puts them in order, and groups them into blocks. β€’ Provers: They create cryptographic proofs that "this block is valid", showing all transactions are correct, without revealing any private data. β€’ Validators: Validators are like auditors. After the sequencer creates a block and the prover generates a proof, validators check that everything is correct and follows the rules. If enough validators agree, the block is accepted. + Validators, in the context of Aztec, are actually a group of sequencer nodes acting as a committee.
