Bitcoin kicked off in 2009 with Satoshi Nakamoto’s whitepaper and first block. Early adopters were cypherpunks and techies trading on forums like BitcoinTalk.
The first real-world transaction didn’t happen until 2010, adoption grew thru forums like BitcoinTalk, where people traded ideas, code, & eventually coins. By 2011, it started catching attention, with exchanges like Mt. Gox to make trading easier—a different story.
The Pizza Story: In 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz made history, buying two pizzas for 10,000 BTC—now worth millions. It’s celebrated as Bitcoin Pizza Day every year.
The Silk Road Story: In 2011, Silk Road emerged, a dark web market using Bitcoin for drugs and more, handling over $1 billion before its 2013 takedown. Exchanges like Mt. Gox also sprouted, fueling growth amid chaos. From obscure code to global intrigue, Bitcoin’s start was a rollercoaster.

My overview and opinion on Fogochain 👇
Fogochain is a layer 1 blockchain project designed to prioritize high performance, focusing on speed and scalability. Basically built to be compatible with the solana virtual machine (SVM), which means it’s leveraging solana ecosystem while trying to improve on its shortcomings. It also aims at pushing extremely fast transaction time.
In my view, Fogochain got an ambitious, tech driven vision that sets its apart from the park. I like the creative and the focus on solving real blockchain pain points. But big claims like these need real-world proof, I would keep an eye to see if they can deliver the speed, scale, and reliability they’re promising. It’s intriguing, no doubts, but I’m not sold yet to seeing it run, Whats your take?? 2 replies
