I bet a big barrier to people using crypto for everyday items is the baked in up charge vendors have for the Visa fees. We need retailers to offer a discount to customers who don’t use Visa so there is incentives other than credit card cash back benefits, etc.

US equities are over 40% of total global equities. The most valuable thing about US companies is the safety of the US legal system. You can rest assured you can reclaim your capital whether it has appreciated or depreciated. Same goes with companies built on blockchains and it’s accessible to the world. So very few.

I don’t think it’s necessarily an optimistic take, but one that politicians are fickle and driven by polling. I have seen reports that the crypto voting block might be pretty sizable. But maybe that won’t translate to single issue voters, or the dems don’t think so. Either way it’ll be interesting to see.

Now that there is a BTC ETF (and soon(tm) an ETH ETF), the career risk is you didn’t allocate your clients funds into it while your competitors did and your clients miss out on the supercycle.

That may be right. In past cycles we have typically gone a bit below the previous ATH. Diminishing returns would also be diminishing drawdowns too so maybe a 70% drawdown is right?

I think geo synchronous orbit requires a really high orbit for slow satellite speed to match earths rotation. The design of starlink is to be closer and not GSO but have a high volume of satellites for better latency due to being closer and for constant coverage.

This isn’t quite a new thing to record though. Anytime he met a western president. It typically starts with him lambasting them about all of the wrongs done to him by the west. Not saying if I find them persuasive or not, but that’s usually how he goes.
