After using Claude Code for couple weeks, I should admit, it's way superior to Cursor, at least with Auto mode!
Claude Code ($20 sub):
- great for longer contexts
- works best for fire and forget type of tasks
- given well scoped task can implement it pretty well
- great in analysing and coming up with docs, plan, review, bilug analysis
- commands are really powerful
Cursor ($20 sub, auto mode):
- when I need to refactor something small and need to navigate
- with impl. plan with and split small tasks
- better building UX
I use both in parallel: claude code with fire and forget, cursor when I want to navigate and fix/change quickly in the files, or touch up after Claude Code.
For the most part claude code $20 subscription (5h session, 200k tokens) is enough for me. Sometimes it tells me to take a walk - touch the grass😁 0 reply
