this was a good read. itβs inspiring to see people who take things seriously do their thing.
Last night, Base Chain experienced a 33 minute network disruption that halted block production.
This was due to an automatic handoff to an unhealthy mainnet sequencer in the high-availability cluster. We quickly switched to a healthy mainnet sequencer and Base Chain resumed normal operation.

Here is my conversation with Michael Nielsen.
We talk about technology as a source of leverage and our increased capacity for both upside/downside.
I've learned a lot from Michael's thinking over the years and it was an honor to do this together. Podcast here: intothebytecode.com/52-michael-nielsen

Another one of the yin/yangs with crypto and ai:
Building with smart contracts is all about precision - you define rules that are to be executed exactly, everything is deterministic
Building with LLMs is all about vibes - you define goals/guardrails and give the model freedom within them, everything is non-deterministic

TEE is the latest arcane acronym to take over the memosphere, kind of like NFT and LLM
One would think these would have a harder time breaking through when there are alternatives like "secure hardware", "digital media", etc
But I wonder if this actually works to their favor. It's probably that they're initially used ...
