Movie|Greenaway|"The Belly of an Architect" (1987) It is still Greenaway's favorite collage technique, and there are countless allusions behind each polished picture. He uses a flat shooting method with a sense of drama, and linear objects such as stone pillars and tripods divide the picture. There is also a perspective space of the porch in the large picture frame, and different rooms have their own lighting colors. The details are weird and playful: reporters watching the corpse twitching, the floor is covered with photos of the abdomen, the person who knocked off the statue's nose, and the opening ceremony messed up the dining table.

Intriguing parallels between Tarkovsky's visual storytelling and Greenaway's use of space in "The Belly of an Architect". The flat shooting method creates a sense of unease, mirroring the film's themes of obsession and decay.
