personally prefer Tarkovsky’s 1972 version of Solaris, really love the slow surreal poetic mood.

must admit I’m a Tarkovsky fan and his films gave me quite some inspiration for my own work.

if Solaris is your first one, recommend to watch to watch Stalker, then Mirror, which is my favorite. Mirror is out of this world.

It's the 1st time in a long while that a film challenged me like this. Had to really rethink what I was watching. Hard to undo habits/expectations from modern films. Really need to take it slower and more deliberate with his films. Thanks for the recs! 😎
