The hidden rave inside a London store
I swear I had no idea where I was walking into. I followed electronic music in Camden Market and ended up at CyberDog, which isn’t a store, it’s another dimension. A futuristic club with loud techno, strobe lights, people dancing in cages, fluorescent clothes glowing under blacklight... and that’s just the entrance.
What they sell looks like clothes for a rave on Mars: giant boots, LED outfits, impossible glasses, alien necklaces, backpacks that look like jets. Upstairs there’s even an adult toys section (yes, it exists). The wildest part: punks with spiked hair and psychedelic outfits, with a vibe like they stepped out of a cyberpunk comic.
Being there felt like a glitch in time where everything vibrates differently. You don’t know if they’re selling clothes, inviting you on a spaceship, or initiating you into a galactic cult. I left with a photo, a smile, and the certainty that the future is already here... and it’s in Camden. 1 reply
