We’re planning to launch a new, optional “Pro” protocol subscription

1. At launch, subscribers will have a Pro badge on their profile

2. Subscription will be onchain and part of the protocol. 100% of the proceeds go to casters / developers in weekly rewards. This in addition to the existing $25K+ a week in rewards. 

3. Planning to add longer casts (10K characters) and up to 4 images per cast for pro subscribers (needs a protocol change). Additional features over time.

4. $120 a year / $10 a month 
Why are we doing this?

- The protocol needs to find long-term revenue source that can continue fund caster and developer rewards beyond any one company.  
- We originally thought storage fees could be that, but we’ve realized that storage fees should be essentialy free to help growth. 
- So we’re trying an opt-in pro subscription as another model

Why now?

- Figuring out a long-term revenue model that works will allow us to double down on investing in growth

Thank you for your good explanation. You presented it in a very clear and simple way. Do you think that with the current situation, which is said to have a value for continuing the activity, this means that the cost we make every month will have a feedback?

It’s not so much that we get the rewards, but more like the people who are active get some kind of reward, and it seems like most of it goes to the developers. I’m not sure if this is meant to support the developers or what... I don’t really get the exact purpose.

This is certainly in the interest of the elite and the elite who always reap the main benefits.

Even if I stay up all night commenting and engaging all day, I still can’t catch up to them. There’s probably some hidden difference again, just like before. Right now, the spam label has been split into two, and people seem to like that, right? But those who had Spam Label 1 are still being treated differently in subtle ways. Even though they’re now marked as Spam Label 2, the posts they quote don’t show up in the quote list. Comments left on channels they’re not a member of, or on people they don’t follow, are still hidden. Does this spam label update really feel meaningful to you?

All I can say is that influential people always set the rules and we just have to follow them even if it's not in our best interest.🥲
