I've been off Instagram in the hope of stop doomscrolling. It went well for a while until I noticed that I'm scrolling news on the browser, also reading horoscope predictions everyday. The objective then shouldn't be 'stop doomscrolling'. It should be 'stop escaping the present moment'/ 'stop avoiding emotions through scrolling' Instagram/YouTube is not the problem. Reflecting deeply on what makes me want to go over there or engage in the act of lying in my bed with a screen is important.
