thinking about some reddit lore: remember when the reddit founder/ceo got tilted so hard that he edited peoples' comments saying "fuck /u/spez"? that was 2016 the apology was pretty good though https://www.reddit.com/r/announcements/comments/5frg1n/tifu_by_editing_some_comments_and_creating_an/ that whole subreddit got quarantined in 2019 and fully banned in 2020 third party clients were effectively deplatformed in 2023 reddit IPO'd in 2024, valued at $44.36B today
