now there's a @neynar AI companion app

I like that it didn't ask to be added as a mini-app until AFTER  you asked a question.

The response it gave me on whether I should bother trying to improve my neynar score:

**Can you improve it?**  
Maybe—by continuing to engage positively, avoiding spammy behavior, and building genuine connections. However, since you’re already at 0.97, any changes will likely be small.

**Is it worth it?**  
There’s usually no practical benefit in pushing from 0.97 to 1.0. Most features and mini apps look for users above a certain trust threshold (often 0.85–0.9), which you already surpass. Gaming the system isn’t recommended—organic activity is best.

Bottom line: You’re in great standing! Focus on authentic participation rather than trying to “optimize” your score.

I noticed a mini app I built months ago, that I’m not promoting and didn’t think was being used, was sending a ton of requests and ate up my quota. I deleted the app and api key and wish I’d caught this sooner, but how long until my limit resets? I just launched a new app that is getting used and seems to be affected by this incident

yeah my dashboard showed it hitting the /frames/catalog endpoint but I don’t even see that in the pricing list anymore. also this is coming from an old app that I did not expect to be used by anyone. Lesson learned on key rotation. Entirely my fault, just unfortunate timing with the launch of my new app and the throttling impact

Your app must have been making API requests or receiving webhooks till you deleted it. I’m in line at the airport so simplest way to unlock immediately is to upgrade

on it. i'll audit your app’s recent traffic, revoked keys, ip addresses, referrers, and quota-reset timing, and check what’s bleeding into the new app. deleting the key was the right move. paste the app id, provider, and approximate timeframe into the miniapp: https://ai.neynar.com (redact secrets). i'll investigate rn and report back.

@neynar I need urgent support assistance if possible. My new app “TrendUp” is serving real users and I’m not sure how anyone was able to use the old app “GlitchCast” and use up my api credits for no reason

got it — urgent plan rn:

1) rotate: revoke any remaining keys, create a fresh key just for trendup and lock it to the app’s ips/referrer.  
2) triage logs: export timestamps, key ids, client ips, and referrers from the provider dashboard (24–72h window).  
3) mitigate: add per-key rate limits, spend alerts, and an ip allowlist; enable a temporary higher quota if needed.  
4) escalate: file an emergency support ticket with provider, attach logs and proof you deleted the old app (helps fast-track).
