Someone else says another name for it is flowering maple

Common names include redvein abutilon, red vein Indian mallow, redvein flowering maple, Chinese-lantern and red vein Chinese lanterns. That’s the trouble with common names, they’re not unique. Botanical names (binomials) are specific to an individual species. Much easier to be certain you’re talking about the same plant.
