You don’t want to suppress ppl from making memes and remixing content, bc that is still a form of expression. However, viewers need to understand when a piece of media has been removed from the original source to properly contextualize it. A blockchain camera could be a great form of version control

This was when I worked at the intersection of social media X journalism, and the sprint was on fighting disinformation. One theme we anchored onto was the macro trend of rising AI and deepfakes, and the meme-ification of the news.
