there's nothing more frustrating than reviewing a project status with your project lead and discovering the SME they trusted to deliver a critical part of the project:
- didn't create a complete plan
- only executed a fraction of what was needed
- broke what was already working
- has no recovery plan or timeline
- went on vacation
at least now i have another story about how projects end up in a quagmire
