T-Mobile’s U.S. branch is paying out $350 million to millions affected by a 2021 data breach. Hackers stole personal info like names, addresses, and Social Security numbers. Payouts started, ranging from $25 to $100, with some getting up to $25,000 for big losses. Customers also get two years of free ID protection. T-Mobile boosted security but admitted no fault. Earlier, they were fined $33 million for SIM attacks leading to crypto thefts.
