yes i agree. sometimes you can be so caught up in the moment that you can't see the other choices.
Or in this one the guy could have a god complex and thinks that sacrificing himself will get the girl to appreciate him even more, or the girl could be selfish and only cares about herself, not realizing he is hurting.
so many angles to look at this
