This reminds me of old school kpop idol trainee gps tracking! For them it was less about drug testing and more monitoring whereabouts. I had trainee friends who’d talk about hiding their phones at home so they can’t be tracked but they’d get calls and texts from their managers and have to respond within a certain amount of time
