Developer experience and the availability of robust tools are crucial for the growth of any blockchain ecosystem. Ethereum has a significant advantage in this area, with a large community of developers, mature development frameworks, and a wide range of tools and services. Emerging blockchains need to not only offer technical advantages but also create a developer-friendly environment to attract talent. If they can provide better documentation, easier-to-use APIs, and more intuitive development tools, they could gradually attract developers away from Ethereum. The threat to Ethereum is that while it currently has the best developer ecosystem, this could change if newer chains invest heavily in developer relations and tooling. The ease of building and deploying DeFi applications will be a key factor in determining which chains win out.
