Not all art breathes⌠but this piece of stone feels alive. I found it just like this carved, cared for, and displayed at a cultural center where I was volunteering with @musicaw3. What made me press the shutter wasnât its owl shape or its colorsâit was its gaze. Yes, a stone with a gaze. Art doesnât just live in the object, but in what it makes you feel. I realized you donât need something to move to feel like itâs looking at you. You donât need something to speak for it to say something. As a photographer, I live for that moment when an object turns into an experience. What do you feel when you look at it?
