a little over 5 years ago, i agreed to start using the full bathroom in our finished basement so my wife could rest more comfortably as she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. at the time, i thought it was inconveinent, but a no-brainer to help ease her treatment and recovery. (she beat it and is doing great) now, i can't imagine going back! i love the freedom of having two floors of distance to make noise, blast music early in the morning, etc. i'm an early riser and she is not. i thought of this today because guests are arriving and will take over the basement, which means i'm moving back to the main bathroom for a few weeks. just hoping i don't make too much noise in the morningπŸ˜‚ sometimes forced change leads to an outcome you don't expect. also... f cancer!
