Thanks for the recommendations! Both look super cool. I'm probably learning more towards the Pinecil than the iFixit, as I haven't soldered in 10+ years, although it's a hobby I would like to get back into.

I got all but three parts to build a Cheapino V2. I'll document the build here if it goes well 😆

pinecil v2. easy. compatible with TS100 tips, temp regulated, and powers via USB-C PD or a barrel jack. 

if you've got a pretty penny to spend, i've been lusting after the full iFixit iron kit. that shit looks nice. and unnecessary.
