I don't man. I live in the most unequal country on the planet. What's happening with PB is a joke compared to RL in .ZA 🤷‍♂️

While PB clearly needs improvements, being here is an opportunity and a choice, not slavery. I got a PB in 3(?) weeks, knowing nobody on day 1. For those who want it, it can be done.

Things were different. PB wasn’t a thing in feb. in fact the implementation of power badges got me shadowbanned almost right away for seemingly liking too many posts too quickly. I was invisible for a month or more. Now ‘not possible’ and steps are being taken but just because you did it in 3 weeks means nothing.

it's simply turned into a hub for quality engagement, which will always be necessary/wanted. no spam, no guns, quality engagement. whats so bad about that? and basically everyone is in agreement the badge system is busted. but that aint our fault.

Ok and I totally respect that. As a fellow person running a channel, it does appear to be targeting this channel/he kinda says it. But again, with no disrespect, my 3rd interpretation of this was your channel shouldn’t be necessary.

different, not different, don't matter. you can be angry at the system all you want. i simply don't understand the aggression at the channel. even if this analogy weren't ridiculous, he's saying he's the guy who wouldn't have helped the slaves escape bc he's mad at slaveowners. silly beyond silly.

I would assume that there must be some correlation in regards to whether the response is liked by the og poster. In your example i doubt the og poster would engage with the response.

You’re misrepresenting the effort there. Simply any response won’t do. Otherwise lots of bots would have power badges, no?
So you could ask for a recipe for steamed peanuts and I could reply “I like outer space because armpits smell bad” and get a power badge in 5 days?

You just gotta reply to other power badge holders for a week. It’s not that hard to get. Lost it and got it back with 5 days of effort.

I get what you're saying, but this is all new & experimental & imperfect. I dunno, I'm a software dev by profession, 2 months is nothing to get something super complicated fixed, so perhaps I'm biased in accepting that things won't be fixed as much as I like but not getting too upset about it 🤷‍♂️

I was nothing but constructive for multiple weeks and it got me nowhere, just a month or two ago now. I even sent warps with comments to V and comments on @dwr.eth and others casts multiple times and just got completely unseen. Until I got a power badge, 6ish weeks after everybody lost their super badges for PB rollout

I disagree, it doesn't mean nothing. Yes it's imperfect, yes it needs work, yes it's down to a lot of luck. BUT: _making an effort_ - while not sufficient - remains NECESSARY. Therefore, people should focus on being constructive and productive. If 0 PBs were being awarded each week I think @dwr.eth would notice.

As i understand correctly. How you have it back ?  I have the same story in feb i had it but for some reasons that i don't understand i loss it .
