The Falcon 9 rocket of the U.S. company SpaceX with 70 payloads for various clients launched from the Vandenberg Space Base in California on June 24 Aboard Falcon 9 is Exploration Company's new reusable Nyx spacecraft. Its mission was a memorial mission in cooperation with Celestis, a space burial company. Nyx carries so-called immortality capsules with the cremated remains and/or DNA of about 150 famous people who will remain in space.

The most stable objects in the universe - neutron stars, white dwarfs and black holes - will disappear sooner or later. This is the conclusion reached by the authors of a new study showing that these superdense bodies evaporate under the influence of quantum effects arising in curved space-time, even in the absence of an event horizon, which was previously considered a necessary condition for Hawking radiation.

This is exactly what you can see in the image above. What at first glance appears to be one oddly shaped galaxy is actually two galaxies separated by a large distance.

Einstein rings occur when light from a very distant object is bent (or lensed) around a closer massive object acting as a lens. This gravitational lensing effect is a clear illustration of what Albert Einstein calculated: the curvature of the invisible fabric of spacetime by any particle with mass. The more mass gathered in one place, the more it "twists" this fabric.

NASA specialists together with astronomers from the University of Washington, using the capabilities of the Hubble Space Observatory, have completed the most complete survey of the Andromeda galaxy, presenting its panorama with a resolution of 417 megapixels. The image took more than 10 years to create. It includes more than 600 images.

Astronomers at the European Space Agency (ESA) have published a new image of the galaxy M90, also known as NGC 4569. It is located at a distance of 55 million light-years from Earth, in the constellation Virgo. M90 is one of the few galaxies approaching the Milky Way.
