First night sleep training taking Cara baby method.

Started at 9 weeks for first one, second one got Covid at 5 weeks and slept through the night from thereafter with a little reinforcement.

Short answer is we let them cry it out. Took 2-3 nights with the first one. We paid for a course on here and found the material indispensable https://takingcarababies.com/

Basically they must sleep on their own day one

Check in every 5, 10, then 15 mins for 15 seconds only if baby is crying. If they’re sleeping don’t checkin.

But then lots of content helping you brace for it and why it will work.

By day one I mean when you start after 5 months hah but they must sleep on their own and must get back to sleep on their own.

When you checkin you just reassure them but don’t pick them up or intervene!

I’ve got one coming in July and might have to give this a shot, thank you!
