Ik i shouldn't expect things from people, but I think it's very fair of me to expect my friends/very close relatives to check in on me. Witnessing a death, I am completely changed. But only recently I realised that almost everybody I consider a friend hasn't shown up the way I show up for them and I'm rethinking my choice of friends. At the same time I can't just cut them off tho I so desperately want to. People say, unless people have been through the death of a parent they wouldn't understand what it's like to feel that void and so they wouldn't know how to show up. But it's not true. Only now I realised how much these folks haven't checked in, even when things weren't this bad. I must find the will to move the fuck on, cause these folks aren't gunna change.
