The main ROI from building /nook thus far has been picking up React Native for mobile development. The time spent will have been worth it for future products, regardless of nook’s success.

Nothing too crazy, just took a while to grok mobile navigation patterns since its very different than web. Main improvements are from lazily loading more things post-navigation.

Also using expo router v3 is tricky since its pretty new and not many resources to go off out there.

How has it been using expo?

Expo is great, seems like the standard for RN development now. I don't even want to know what it was like before Expo. Definitely took me a while to understand how to fully utilize the different components since it is basically a full framework.

Gotcha, yeah always wondered how much it let you deviate in design patterns and more importantly whether that’s a good idea to do or not. Certainly looks fully featured! One of these days I’ll have a go at building an app
