hot take: virtual backgrounds on streams mostly just look kinda… bad. the halo around the subject is visually jarring, and then the headrest of your chair suddenly decides to break the 4th wall & jump out at me. unless your office is in some kind of sex dungeon, your actual background has to be less distracting tbh

real sets/room always look better, but a lot of folks would benefit from a proper green screen to chroma key. The janky auto keying backdrops give that terrible fuzzy edge look which drives me crazy too 🤣
