So virtually almost everyday (except for 1 day) in the last 50 days I’ve been able to hit a personal best at the gym. I cycle through 4 different kinds of routines (PPL) so my muscles get adequate recovery time. It’s around 30-45 minutes of PPL and then 30 minutes of cycling. Exclude rest days. Typically I cycle around 10 miles in 30 min at a BPM of around 150. When I first started cycling my butt hurt like crazy adjusting to the seat but after day 15 my body was pretty adjusted. All I wanted at the beginning was to be able to cycle faster and discover my distance. I started only being able to do 6 miles in 30 min. This time around I did 12 miles in 40 minutes, my first time exceeding the 30 min mark. But past the 30 min mark my legs and ankle started cramping and my position on the bike seemed to feel more uncomfortable, I had to stop to make adjustments to the height of the seat and the toe clips. It sorta reminded me of running a company tbh.. when you start you just want your butt to stop hurting. Eventually you progress quickly because you find it exciting, and then you hit the upper limit of what you can achieve. Once I hit the upper limit, I literally had to exert 25% more energy for only 2 more miles, virtually 17% of my ride. And my legs were cramping my like crazy. Good ride today!
