Man I try to be a good neighbour and acquaintance but sometimes I get bit in the ass. I’ve been taking care of my neighbours plants this time around but he’s been unhappy with the way I water them. I tried recommending a friend to work at an acquaintances’ company, which is in a categorically unsexy industry with a small TAM, and he refused the intro because they were “competitors”. They are not competitors. I know he’ll have trouble hiring in the future because his mentality is zero sum. Burns my energy a bit trying to help people that need help but don’t want to receive it. Good deeds don’t go unpunished I guess
