Using a Windows laptop for work and a MacBook Pro at home, I am continually amazed by the energy efficiency and power of Apple Silicon in comparison. The battery on my MacBook Pro hardly drains. I don’t really need to charge it; I usually just do so overnight out of routine and could probably skip a night without issue. Additionally, the MacBook Pro operates much more quietly and remains cool, even under heavy workloads. When Apple transitioned from PowerPC to Intel Macs, I was a supporter, but I was skeptical about them making their own chips five years ago—and I must say, I was completely mistaken. This has been the best strategic move of the past decade.

As a result, you'll find yourself navigating the profound uncertainties of self-doubt, even as you embark on this bold new journey.

I agree with the point you're making. It makes more sense for apps to be built first, putting strain on existing infrastructure, and then upgrading the infrastructure to meet the demand. This way, the infrastructure is being built out of real demand and with a real understanding of what end users need. It's a more efficient and relevant approach compared to building infrastructure based on assumptions of future demand. The example of AWS being built by Amazon to meet their own capacity needs is a great illustration of this concept. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
