It can’t magically make “interesting” content appear out of thin air..

That requires actual user growth + diverse content

Imagine if every Farcaster user was given $1,000 today to help support more “interesting” content (however each individual defines “interesting”).

How would you spend it?

Assume the following rules:
- spend it over the next week or lose it
- no hoarding or trading
- must be given to other people or projects, not to fund your own
- no quid pro quo

No need to think very broadly unless you want to. I’m curious how people might spend it to cultivate the niches that interest them.

Building a little space at /thenextwave and watching everything on /videolab.

I’d use the $1,000 to support bold Nigerian creators, digital communities tackling real issues, curators amplifying fresh voices, and visual storytellers capturing Naija life. I’d save a bit for weird genius - like pidgin proverbs or jollof memes.

I feel Korean culture has become so widely known these days due to food and entertainment. It’s hard to think of something people wouldn’t already know.

Small one - but maybe how it’s common to wear slippers inside, not just for personal comfort but for consideration for others. Many Koreans live in apartments so they will wear extra cushioned slippers to avoid thudding noises for residents below them.

That’s a beautiful perspective!  I agree - sharing everyday life, traditions, and culture makes this space richer. What feels ordinary to us can be fascinating to others. I’ve also enjoyed seeing different cultural flavors here. What’s one daily thing in your culture others might find surprising?

I’d love to see that! It’s been fun getting to dive deeper into the Nigerian community this month through the food. Cultural exchange is something I find very interesting online and would like more of.

A general comment, for people all over the world: Rather than seeing people posting about leaderboard rank over and over, I’d rather read about lives and perspectives. We are from so many different places. Even what seems boring and every day to one person is fascinating to another.
