My grindcore band used to time-share a practice space (a literal dungeon) with Baroness and a few others. Just thinking how the name carries its age long evocations even today. Coldness, reclusiveness, mysticism etc. Kids were taught to fear them. Or worse yet fear becoming one.

I realize these days that becoming the stigmatized is not necessarily like sliding into some terrifying state. An internet personality? Ppl are entertained by how you literally entertain yourself. My fav pod getting into child rearing en digital, and I can't summon a care. Its become my typification of banality.

A slide into stigmatized states is wholistic. Having a complex dream where 'enduring complimentary attraction' is familiar & idyllic may remind one theyre beyond that degree of idealization of individuals. Even of human kind. A mission may lack room for the fruits of the opposite.
