The plan to launch an EVM platform on Cosmos Hub has been put on hold. Developing a virtual machine is resource-intensive and would disrupt the existing user experience, diverging from Cosmos’ core strength in multi-chain interoperability. Instead, the Hub will refocus on delivering services through IBC, reinforcing its position in the Layer 1 services market.
