The article is meh but the trend is of course real. I often feel betwixt and between, when those who are close to "my people" in a cultural sense have gone really all-in on masculinity and...for obvious reasons I can't follow them there.

I've lived in NYC for years and had never even noticed the existence of the "chopped cheese" sandwich until reading about it in Serious Eats. https://www.seriouseats.com/chopped-cheese-recipe-8605284 Had one today. It's delicious. Like a Sloppy Joe on a roll with mayo and ice cold shredded lettuce & tomato.
