Is it different than when you were younger? My father is still the same man he always has been, he’s just lightened up a bit. A hard ass with minimal emotions 😂

Best we can do is learn from our experiences and apply those lessons to the future. If I had kids I’d do it a bit different than how my parents did. That’s progress🤟

Ya they’re weird relationships aren’t they? I’m trying to take a different approach with my sons, but at the same time I know the way my father was with me as a kid helped me in many ways. I’m glad you’re having a great time man, it’s gotta feel like an escape almost

🤔🤔my youth was complicated, parents were loving but a bit distant. They had a business to build to support us after having had their first two stolen by biz partners. Bridging gaps to get closer has been a mutual effort from my entire family for a long time. Im lucky af but it’s taken work all around. Father/son relationships are always complicated. I hope even though he’s a hard ass thats theres love and respect. Dudes of the older era and emotions, how they express and deal with them, omfg😭hard for our generation but not like theirs.
